The West Pakistan and Union Now in the recently held assembly session the Minister for Tourism Mr.Malladi Krishna Rao had opposed the demand for statehood passed 17 times in the assembly as an oft repeated ritual, fearing his constituency and enclave Yanam would stand to loose if Statehood is accorded. None of the rulers or parties who demand statehood is confident that on getting statehood they could manage their finances within the revenue they can harness. So all are adding a rider special category status, and if that is true, can these leaders clarify are they wanting to amend Constitution of India to include Puducherry too under article 370 meant as exception for Union Already current government by opening a Public Account with Reserve Bank of Separate states — Telangana in Andhra Pradesh, Vidarbha in Maharashtra and Bundelkhand in Uttar Pradesh Bhojpur in East Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh in Bihar, Saurashtra in Gujarat, Coorg in Karnataka, Koshalanchal in western Orissa, Gorkhaland in West Bengal, Mithilanchal in north Bihar, parts of Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, and Purvanchal, Harith Pradesh, Braj Pradesh and Awadh Pradesh from various regions of Uttar Pradesh.Let Puducherry too join this long list and be dived into State of Puducherry and Union Territory of Karaikal. Karaikal, Mahe and Yanem all the three constituents must be made as separate Union Territories. All these three constituents are quite far away from Puducherry and are not adjacent. As such, administrative control is very difficult. Therefore they must be segregated and all the three be made as separate Union Territorires.

The inner agenda of such claims, particularly by the rabid dravidian and pro-LTTE groupist like NANDI should be noted before making any comments.
They have been just for creating opinion for separatist tendecies.
Instead of that why not these areas merged with India?
Why such thinking is not coming?

Dear Mr. Nachiappan,
Karaikkal and Puducherry are very much an integral part of India.

My dear rverma, it is well known that they are part of India as UT with conditions as per the Constuitution and the agreement signed between India and France.
Perhaps, you must be knowing about the dual citizenship etc.
The point is the separatist forces advocating under different banners and expressions.

It is absolutely wrong to brand anyone as separatist or terrorist, just because he or she is asking for a separate Union Territory. He is not asking for secession from India or asking for Independence for Karaikal. Terrorism and separtism are to be dealt with separately. Of late, the Dravidian parties, especialy the DMK which has tasted power in the Centre for the last 12 years, are more interested in playing active role in the National politics. As such, there need not be any fear of they sowing seeds of separation.
